Immutable inventory ledger
Corrections are compensating events, not overwritten rows.
Critical resource readiness
We shaped AssetsManager as a tenant-safe platform for inventory, storage units, smart locks, inspections, replenishment and evidence. The craft was not another warehouse screen, but a controlled operating model from asset to location, access, event, proof and decision.
Introduction
The system had to make stock, access and inspection history defensible during audits while staying usable for warehouse operators, EHS managers and field technicians.
The UX is built for repeated operational work: dense scanning, status hierarchy, clear ownership and fast escalation from signal to task.
Features
We treated the ledger as evidence, separated domain ownership and designed high-risk actions around explicit actor intent.
Corrections are compensating events, not overwritten rows.
Grant windows, smart lock adapters and emergency overrides are visible in one flow.
Cabinets, compartments, expiry and minimum thresholds form an actionable readiness view.
Checklists, findings, photos and certificates become audit-ready artefacts.
Smart locks, access grants and emergency overrides are treated as auditable product flows.
Inventory events can move into procurement, vendor and SmartAid workflows without weakening the evidence model.
Inventory drift, access patterns and readiness changes are structured for future assisted detection.
Operators see stock, expiry and access state before opening a work order.
Challenges
Resources were split between spreadsheets, manual cabinet lists, access logs and inspection protocols.
Smart lock and cabinet events had to be reliable even when physical infrastructure was imperfect.
ERP, SmartAid and vendor adapters needed clear contracts without leaking provider assumptions.
Corrections needed compensating events instead of destructive edits.
Operators needed fast work while managers needed a complete evidence story.
Low stock, expiry and access issues needed a clear owner before operations degraded.
Digital state had to represent real locations, cabinets and responsibilities.
Technology stack
A domain-led .NET platform with PostgreSQL JSONB for structured evidence, event-style histories and integration seams for ERP, SmartAid and smart lock vendors.
